Box office : Goal and Madhuri Dixit ’s Aaja Nachle both disappoint
Goal is set in UK but the movie did better in India than in UK or USA. Underwhelming performances at the box office seem to continue as Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal has registered below par collections in India over the opening week, despite some good early reports.

Surprisingly the film did not score in the overseas either despite being set there. It may struggle to recover investment with business past 17-18 crores.
Om Shanti Om has recovered its huge investment as a major grosser but the collection for the film has come down steeply in week 3. With its benchmark opening week on Diwali, it seemed likely to strive for top grosser of India; but except for metros, that may not happen now.
However, in the big box office news of the week, the return of Madhuri Dixit after 5 years has not resulted in a beeline for tickets anywhere. Far from creating dance frenzy to theaters, Aaja Nachle has opened to only 15-25% on moderate volume screening around the country. The opening in Bombay is at 25%, is around 25% in Calcutta also and below that in Chennai. Therefore, despite the return of Madhuri Dixit, it is the lowest opener for Yash Raj Films this year.

Skip the first 15 minutes and this film is excellent.
Madhuri looks fab for forty. Very good supporting cast and good humour.
