Richard Gere forcefully attempts to kiss Shilpa in public.

Richard Gere publicly humiliated himself and Shilpa Shetty in an Aids awareness function in India by trying to forcefully kiss Shilpa Shetty.

The ceremony was not a glamarous one nor was it a high profile one. It was an aids awareness function where common people including truck drivers were present.

FIRST GEAR:
Richard was in his flirtous mood and when Shilpa Shetty ( Bollywood actress and of Big Brother fame ) was introducing him to the crowd, Gere started off with kissing Shilpa’s hand.

SECOND GEAR:
As Shilpa continued talking to the crowd, Richard Gere tried holding Shilpa and trying to get her in his arms. Shilpa did not play with him and Richard held her hard and tried to land a kiss on her lips. Shipla avoided it as much she could but had not much control as Gere was completely in control of Shilpa.

THIRD GEAR:
Gere continued on and the surprised Shilpa tried her best to avoid the kiss, Gere landed his kiss on somewhere near her ears. While the crowd stood spellbound by this act of Gere, Shilpa somehow escaped from his hold. While putting on a plastic smile all through, Shilpa announced “This was a bit too much ” !!

Gear then bowed down and expected Shilpa’s hand but Shilpa avoided it. She smiled all through but I am sure this was not something she would have expected and appreciated. This was a low profile gathering among common people and for spreading awareness of Aids. But if you had seen Richard Gere’s expressions right from the beginning, it looked like he was more interested in holding, touching and kissing Shipla than spreading awareness.

Well when asked, one common Indian said: “Gere was trying to prove that kissing doesnot spread Aids” !! Well Shilpa maybe was not aware of that.. and this must be why she was avoiding a kiss on her lips.
