Whats up with these obscenity cases ?

Recently Mallika Sherawat was threatened with a law suit. All she did was dance in a skin colored dress in a private party.

Today Mallika Sherawat is a household name in India. And this is because atleast half the male adult population loves what shes does. Mallika went on hiding from the media for a few months and she agreed to perform at a private show for the new year on one condition : no cameras. There were cameras and the footage was showed all over the news channels. And one Mr. Somebody got offended and threatened to sue Mallika. Why Mallika .. why not the channels , why not the hotel ?

Because Mr. Somebody ( we wont name him because we dont want to give him the privelege ) wanted the limelight by associating his name with Mallika’s. If he sues Aaj Tak or the five star hotel, they will fight him back strongly. In most legal systems, anyone can sue anyone. So someone sues Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan for the Dhoom2 kiss.. as if they went against the directors wishes and smooched.

India as a country is hypocritical in this regard. We make Rakhi Sawant and Mallika Sherwat celebrities and watch their movies and dances but when it comes to accepting it .. we turn 180 degrees. Item girls and item numbers have become such an integral part of the movie these days.. even a serious movie on an industrialists life Guru had an item number with Mallika Sherawats assets stealing half the screen.

Interestingly TV news channels like AajTak were showing the Mallika footage all day with the message that its a shameful act !! Well if yes, why show it on national tv ? She was not dancing for everyone to see it !!! Grow up !! Sex sells and you want the money … accept it !!
