Bollywood box office report : 10 Jan 2007
This week, actor Arjun Rampal’s first home production ‘I See You’ where he plays the lead role also opened to shockingly poor responses almost everywhere. Targeted at young audiences, this film merely starved for footfalls from the day first itself.

As per trade analysts, the decision of releasing the film on the last week of the year, when most of the people remain busy ringing in New Year, is the major cause of such devastating opening. It’s Arjun’s first solo release, so he has taken too much risk by taking the film on his shoulder only, besides the heroine is also a debutant.
Except its slick cinematography and explicit locales, the film has, in fact nothing to offers. Also its promos were not that attractive, which also made the film loser at the box office. Priyadarshan’s ‘Bhagam Bhag’ is doing reasonably well in its second week.
However the laugh riot is doing extremely well in Delhi and Utter Pradesh.
Yash Raj’s ‘Kabul Express’ continued to do well in multiplexes, however in small centers it’s collections dropped drastically. However it got high critical acclaims. Sohail Khan-Sneha Ullal starrer film ‘Aryan’ bit the dust.
Last week, ‘Baabul’ registered a huge drop in collections. Despite a huge starcast, it could not live up to the expectations, which surprised many.
Yash Raj’s latest release ‘Dhoom 2′ is really doing very well, even in its sixth week the collections going steady strong.
Especially in multiplexes in Mumbai, the stylish action thriller is going strong.
Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao starrer ‘Vivah’ continues victory over box office. Last week, the collections though registered a slight drop but it’s ignorable. Subhash Ghai’s ‘Apna Sapna Money Money’ , though it’s a short-budget film, starring not-so big stars, it clicked at the box office. As per ‘Don’ is concerned, it’s collections in last week littled downed. Same thing happened to Salman-Priyanka starrer ‘Jaanemann’ also. But overall these two films’ box office performance is not bad. However ‘Don’ is doing better than ‘Jaanemann’ both in country and in abroad.
‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ is still rocking in India and abroad as well.
After ‘Phir Hera Pheri’, it’s another sequel, which hit the bull’s eyes.
As per this week is concerned, only one film ‘Kudiyon Ka Hai Zamaana’ has been released yesterday. Full of hot and bold scenes, this film is the first hot release of the year 2007. Whether the sex film can do pretty good at the box office or not remains to be seen.
So this week, the list of top-5 films includes ‘I See You’, ‘Kabul Express ‘, Vivah’, ‘Bhagam Bhag’ , and of course ‘Dhoom 2′ according to the responses, they have received so far. But the serial is given below. You watch it as follows. Keep on tuning.
