Whitney Houston’s Sad Saga

Singer, actress, former fashion model, song writer, producer and pop icon known for her soulful coloratura soprano, vocal power and range, and mellifluous skill is in financial difficulties again. That too after just having cleared her income tax dues.

Houston, who has won twenty-one American Music Awards (a record for a solo artist), six Grammy Awards, and two Emmy Awards among her many accolades, needs some counseling on financial management.

In late 2006, she was named as the most awarded female artist of all time by the Guinness World Records foundation. Well, unfortunately this Guinness World Record holder owes up to 0,000 to a storage company that tended to her tour gear equipment.

Houston’s spokes woman Seltzer, in recent comments to newspapers, asserted that the auction was being held to dispose of outdated equipment and costumes that were no longer needed.

Hundreds of famous stage outfits and accessories, sequined bras, body suits, evening dresses and chair described as ‘Whitney’s Throne’ are up for grabs. The most attractive among these would be a see-through grand piano.

That’s not all - included in the list for auction are props used in her show - drums, slot machine and a leather whip. She is also auctioning off some of her musical instruments. It also seems that she is auctioning off 16 of her estranged husband’s (Bobby Brown) music awards!
