Aishwarya Rai won’t like to remember 2006 due to controversies

The year 2006 had been a year of controversy for the bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai. She had always been in the news, be it about the unknown parcel sent to her name, or the dating with Abhishek Bachchan, or be it her Dhoom 2 kiss with Hrithik Roshan, or her recent visit to the shrines, or her bodyguards misbehaviour.

Priests at the Brahma temple in Pushkar performed a ‘Sadbuddhi’ yagna (fire ritual) and ‘Shanti paath’ for Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai on Sunday and washed the temple with ‘Gangajal’ to purify the premises after her visit.The purification ritual was performed after it was discovered that the three security guards who accompanied Rai inside the temple were ‘drunk’.

Another was the case she received a huge amount to her name by an unknown sender. She had to face the cops investigation for the same.

Also, the obscenity case over the Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan kiss was all over the news. It looks like Mr. D has an issue with Bollywood movies in general and not necessarily Aishwarya Rai or Hrithik Roshan. The court has accepted the case and the hearing is on !!

Last year she surprised everyone by being nominated as the Amitabh Bachchan’s Bahu. In many parties we found Abhishek accompanied by her.

Over the past few years we saw her in a lot of desi centric characters in Hollywood. And in this exercise, Aishwarya Rai has achieved something which no Indian actor/actress has achieved in the past. A huge fan following and a name which is beyond the desi audience.

So, last year was a year of huge Ups and Downs for Aishwarya Rai!
