Bollywood : Udit Narayan desperate to settle with his other wife !!

The famous Bollywood playback singer Udit Narayan is now willing to go for a compromise and settlement with Ranjana Jha.Ranjana Jha claimed to be Udit Narayan Jha’s first wife and made the matter public on 21st of April, 2006. Though Udit Narayan and his wife Deepa Narayan denied and termed it an allegation, Ranjana had enough proof like photographs and other things to substantiate her claim.

Ranjana, Jha is a resident of Nirmali village in Supaul district and not only her but her relatives and neighbours also vouched for the fact that Ranjana was Udit Narayan’s first wife and that they were married in 1984 in an arranged match.

Ranjana Jha was very vocal about the violation of her rights and first attracted public attention when she protested by blocking a room in a posh hotel in Patna where Udit Narayan was staying with Deepa.Ranjana lodged a complaint with the state women’s commission and even met Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to seek justice.
The Women’s commission has registered a case of breach of marriage against the singer and issued a notice to him to this effect. But for the fifth time the ‘ singer did not turn up not heeding to the Commissions summons. The Commission reportedly warned earlier that failure to appear before the panel on June 28 may result in a warrant being issued against Udit Narayan.

The singer’s lawyer Mahasweta Chatterjee supposedly indicated that Udit Narayan is interested in a mutual settlement. She asked for eight weeks time for her client to appear before the Commission but this plea was rejected. But Ranjana Jha also pleaded to grant one month time to Udit Narayan and confirmed that she spoke on telephone with Narayan twice for reconciliation and that was a mutual decision. Accepting the petitions of both parties, women’s commission chair person Manju Prakash gave time till July four for the reconciliation.
