FIFA : Zidane leads France against Spain 3-1 to reach quarters !!
June 28th, Hanover: Zidane and France scored in the last minutes to extend their lead to beat Spain 3-1 and move to the quarter final of the FIFA world cup soccer 2006 !! This could have been Zidane’s last match if they had not won !!
In the 27th minute, Spain scored their opener as Villa converted a penaltykick. But France followed it up with a spectacular Ribery goal in the 41st minute to keep their hopes alive.
Franck Ribery, Patrick Vieira and Zinedine Zidane scored a goal each as France quashed Spain 3-1 to move into the quarter-finals in a World Cup second-round match.
In the 83rd minute of the game Zinedine Zidane set Viera with a free kick just outside the box in the 83rd minute and Viera headed home to give France the lead to 2-1.
And finally Zidane extended the lead to ensure that France face Brazil. So a replay of the 1998 World Cup final is set up !!
