Steve Irwin action figure at Wild Republic’s Toy Fair booth
Steve Irwin is to be immortalised with an action figure ,but unlike, superman , batman, spiderman, he is a real life hero.Irwin family and Australia Zoo have approved the doll to be made by Wild Republic, and it will be unveiled at the International Toy Fair in New York from February 11 to 14.

Steve Irwin, the Australian conservationist and television host who loved crocodiles and got killed by a stingray, is to have an action figure doll. To pay tribute to Irwin, Wild Republic, the nature brand of K&M International, teamed up with Irwin’s family and Australia Zoo to bring the new line of toys. The image of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin is to be immortalised with an action figure that will speak some of his catch-phrases, such as “Crikey!”.
The talking version of the late Crocodile Hunter will retail for $US22 () and will be unveiled at the International Toy Fair in Feb in New York. But it has not yet been confirmed when the doll will be available in his native Down Under - nor what local reaction may be.
Irwin’s daughter, Bindi Irwin, 8, said in a statement: “We all know that Daddy had an important job. He was working to change the world so everyone would love wildlife like he did. Now it’s our turn to help him.”
Wild Republic’s Toy Fair booth will reportedly also feature appearances by Kate and Brian Coulter, members of Irwin’s Wildlife Warriors Worldwide charity.
Irwin, 44, died September 4 in Port Douglas, Queensland, when a stingray pierced his heart while he was filming underwater footage for his Discovery Channel series.

This sounds like a great idea. I would’nt mind having a doll or action figure of the entire team such as Terry, Wes, and others eventually. Some of the funds always going to The Wildlife Warriors Foundation and continuing Steves’ dream wich because of Steve and Terry has become alot of peoples dream as well. Thanks goes to all who have contributed. Thanks again. Brett.
