Paris Hilton ’s Other Activities

Let’s start with her skill as an author. Yes. Did you know that she had actually authored a book, “Confessions of an Heiress: A Tongue-in-Chic Peek Behind the Pose”.

Of course it was co-written by Merle Ginsberg. It was reported that she was actually paid an advance of 0,000 for the book. And what do you think the book contained? You guessed right! Plenty of color photographs of Ms Hilton and her tips on the do’s and don’ts of living as an heiress.

Now here’s an excerpt from the book.

“If you follow your own plans and dreams and you don’t let anyone talk you out of them, then you’ll start to get the hang of being an heiress….All you need after that is a good handbag, a great pose, and very high heels, and you’re on your way. (Long blond hair doesn’t hurt, either.)”

How was the book received? Well you all know - there are those who love hating Paris and there are those who hate loving her. So we do have a mixed review. It did however become a New York Times bestseller.

But if you ask me - it certainly was tongue in the cheek and a very subtle sort of satire and I would credit Paris with a great sense of humor.

Good for Paris - she went on to author what one may call a designer-diary with Ginsberg again as the co author – “Your Heiress Diary: Confess It All To Me”. The target readers were her young teenage fans and of course this was well received by her target group.

Paris is planning to release another of her book in the year 2007.
