Shane Warne and Mcgrath to retire after Ashes series
Shane Warne will join cricketing immortality as he has announced that he will retire from international cricket after the final Ashes test against England. McGrath is expected to make a similar announcement after the fifth and final Test in Sydney (Jan 2-6).

Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne has announced that he will retire from international cricket after the final Ashes test against England starting in Sydney on January 2nd. Warne, 37, told a packed news conference in Melbourne today that he will pursue new jobs, possibly including a career as a commentator. He described his journey in international cricket as phenomonal and unbelievable.
Warne is the world’s leading wicket-taker. He has taken 699 test scalps and is poised to become the first man to reach the 700 barrier when the fourth Ashes test starts next Tuesday. Warne’s farewell in Sydney will be his 145th test appearance.
