There is no doubt about Aishwarya Rai being the number one amongst actresses.She is the only one who has maintained her dignity and poise inspite of the dominating Khans and the clique as in Veer Zara where the story was written for her and SRK had his turn and influence to remove her from the film.Aishwarya Rai is the best

I TOTALLTY AGREE WITH SURAJ!!!! Ash is indeed so versatile. Look at her, no matter how critics pan her, no matter how some people would like to bring her down, no matter even if the entire bollywood community wishes to bring her down,,,she is still THE AISHWARYA RAI whom the world know and admire!!.PERIOD. who says ash delivers only with bhansali? she proved herself in chokher bali, raincoat, khakee,umrao jaan, bride nd prejudice , taal, hamara dil aapke paas hai , mohabbatien too. when ash did hum dil de chuke with bhansali he was a flop director with khamoshi behind him. nd still ppl say she’s manipulative whereas rani nd preity prefer to stick to big banners like yashraj, dharma nd stars like sharukh, aamir, salman. even bhansali is no longer working with ash. and wasnt rani’s black also directed by bhansali. even ash has proven herself in raincoat where beauty did not matter. ash doesnt need hits keep her going . she’s got star power nd directors are dying to work with her. box office should not be the only criterion to judge someone. why did she get a powerful role like umrao jaan if she didn’t have what it takes. c’mon umrao isnt supposed to just look pretty. ash’s way of working is totally different from rani and preity. she prefers good roles, versatility and experimentation whereas rani and preity play safe . so who cares about about box office as long as ash impresses her fans with her persona, perforamnces, dances, red carpet appearances,global fame. let rani nd preity continue to churn out hits after hits but ash will always be THE AsH.
