Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt cancels plan of adopting Indian Baby

After the hue and cry raised over the adoption issue of Madonna, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have decided to abandon their plan of adopting an Indian baby. As per reports, Brangelina visited the ‘Priya Darshini’ orphanage and had made a formal application for adoption.

Reports informed that Brad Pitt was in favour of adopting a baby boy not less than 18 months in order to balance the sexes of his children.

The couple is infact camping at hotel Le Meridian in Pune where Angelina Jolie is shooting for Micheal Winterbottom’s movie ‘A Mighty Heart’, a film on the ‘American Wall Street’ journalist Daniel Pearl who was abducted and slain by terrorists at Karachi in Pakistan in 2002. Jolie plays Mr. Pearl’s widow Mariane in the film. ‘A Mighty Heart’ is based on the book written by Mrs. Pearl after the 38 year scribe was abducted and murdered while investigating on Al-Qaeda.

It needs mention that apart from their biological daughter Shiloh Nouvel, who was born this year in the month of May, Jolie-Pitt already has adopted 2 children. They are the 5 year old Maddox-adopted in 2002 from a Cambodian orphanage and Zahara Marley Jolie, a baby girl adopted in 2005 from Ethiopia. The new baby, they planned of adopting would form ‘create a rainbow family’, according to Brad Pitt. It was also expected that the couple will adopt and bring the child with them by Christmas.

While speaking to Britain’s ‘New’ magazine, a source told that, ‘No one wants to be dragged through the heartache that Madonna has. It’s a real shame. Angelina was so saddened. When people start questioning the legality of adoption, of whether you’ll be able to keep the child, it gets into a territory that’s just heartbreaking’.
