Martina Hingis walks over Sania Mirza at Sunfeast.
Despite immense vocal support for Sania Mirza from the Kolkata crowd, Sania Mirza lost miserably to Switzerland’s Martina Hingis in the semi finals of the Sunfeast Open.
Sania Mirza lost 1-6, 0-6. The Hyderabadi sensation picked up just one game in the whole match and continued her poor run against higher seeded players than her. Sania has been performing miserably in 2006 and after being propelled to super celebrity status in India when she reached a WTA rank of around 40 couple years back, Sania could never prove that she is worth the hype. Sania Mirza has been through injuries in the past months and has been succesful in winning only one WTA tournament and that too one held in India.
In the Sunfeast open, Sania Mirza performed below expectation in the first few rounds but improved her game in the quarter finals 6-4 7-5 win over Rezai in a high-quality match. Hopefully soon Sania will live up to the expectations soon. Anyway, it is not her fault that fans expect so much from her.

actually i love martina hingis and therefore i never like sania mirza.Mirza is nice but not like martina.
