Quite dissappointed with the movie…enjoyed KKHH and KG3 & KHNH but this is really not Karan Johar’s type of movie..
Firstly its too lengthy…gets draggy at some point and lackes lustre towards the end. Its just doesn’t have the OOMPH….
Acting wise, all were ok. Abhishek was good. Rani was adequate, Preity had nothing much to do. SRK was as his usual way and Amit-ji was good as the Old man playboy. Songs OK but certainly not the best.
Overall, not exactly an entertaining movie, and neither no message came forth towards the end with its so called infidelity theme. BORING with a captial B

KANK will definitely succeed that’s for sure. Its got the best of actors in it!!
Karan has tried to tread on new ground. But if he really intends to portray a subject far from his usual candy floss stories, he should try to make movies with non-superstars and shoot it in India itself, like Madhur did for Page 3 and now Corporate! Tha’s the risk he must take if he wants to make serious cinema.
The problem here is that KANK, inspite of its theme of Infidelity, still has that masala flick of songs, which is a must in all Karan’s movies, so if he extract out all this TYPICAL moments out from his movies, then perhaps we can categorize him in the Serious cinema.
But that’s far from it! He still continues to use his favorite stars and makes it an all-star cast, has rich Bhangras and Rock ‘n’ Roll songs and still retains his “Candy-Floss” atmosphere throughout the movie.
He is one director who makes successful movies, no doubt, but i seriously think he should break away from the norm of all the superstars and try to venture into something more serious, then we will believe he has done “A BOLD MOVIE” for now, sorry Karan, you still belong to the make believe world of “CANDY FLOSS”!!! Nevertheless, i still enjoyed KANK cause it had RANI in it, the saving grace of the film!
