Shahrukh Khan wants to remake Deewar, producer not interested

It seems the remake fever is all here to stay, at least for few years more. Now that the shooting of Don is over which was a remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s superhit urban adventure and drama, Shahrukh Khan is eying to remake Big B’s 1970’s renaissance Deewar as well. Not only that, SRK has also wished to produce the movie as well, wherein, unquestionably he wants to play the legendary angry young man- Vijay.

However, the producer of the movie, Deewar, Gulshan Rai is not interested to part with the copyright of the film. His son Rajib Rai, also a producer and director and maker of hits like Tridev and Vishwatma, feels that the great film like this can not be replicated like this in modern milieu even if its stars the King Khan, Shahrukh.

Big B has not commented on the issue so far. The world is, though eagerly waiting to compare who makes for a better Don? Fro that, we have to wait till Diwali.
