My interest in Bollywood stems from the remarkable Aishwarya Rai. She is India's greatest ambassador and it goes far beyond her impossible to believe beauty. Beauty such as her's comes from within. Her quality as a person shows itself in her beauty.
Bollywood has many beauties but only Aishwarya has such remarkable depth and so she is deserving of being the "Queen of Bollywood" and of cinema worldwide.
As a westerner, I find it distrubing to see anyone knock her as both an actress and as a person. I have seen most of her movies and constantly watch her dancing. She is so intelligent, graceful and warm it is virtually beyond belief.
I have been a movies fan for most of my life which has reached 62 years so far. I have never seen anyone light up the screen like Ash. I mean not Ava Gardner, Sophia Loren, Grace Kelly, Marilyn Monroe, Raquel Welch, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Betty Grable....well you name it and I find Ash ranks as number one. She is beyond any shadow of a doubt the queen of the close up.
We all know that appearance is not forever but Aishwarya will always be beautiful because she is beautiful on the inside.
India should be proud of having such a fantastic ambassador of its culture and its people. I am drawn to Bollywood cinema and all of its beautiful people because of Ash.
No more Aishwayra Rai bashing...... just feel blessed that you have her.
