It looks like Carlos Alberto Pereira will be leaving the Brazilian National Squad. The post for the next Seleção's coach is open. Or maybe not cuz Carlos Alberto Parreira may stay as there are no conformation whatsoever. So who will it be?

Dunga named as new coach
named as the new Seleção coach.
CBF President Ricardo Teixeira, said: "The choice of Dunga will fully satisfy the desires of Brazilian fans."
Dunga, has no previous coaching experience in the game. But the 42-year-old said: "I want to bring the same determination I had as a player.
"Motivation and will to win are fundamental for anyone who wants to wear the shirt of the Brazilian national team."
His first game will be a friendly with Norway on 16 August in Oslo.
A world cup winner in 1994, Dunga also played in the 1990 and 1998 World Cups. Making over a 100 appearances for Brazil and winning the Confederations Cup in 1997 and the Copa America in 1989 and 1997.
Dunga's career saw him play in Brazil, Italy, Germany and Japan.

I always find it very difficult to guess how a good former player will do as a coach - it is a risk, but let's see how he does.
The one thing that concerns me is his closeness to the team as a player.
Dunga is a former teammate of Cafu, Ronaldo, Dida and others - I wonder if he will be willing to drop such players if they are underperforming? Mind you, as a player he was not known for being sentimental

no i don't think he will be sentimental at all.
he will start with a pretty new team i think,he has to do this,a lot of his former teammates are too old for another world cup, some were too old for thisone.

Former teammates of his will be Cafu and Ronaldo I assume. Cafu will retire from the Seleção and Ronaldo, well I assume he's gonna be in and make 2010 his last appearance for the Seleção. My concern is the goal-keeper. Will he retain Dida or go for someone else. Anyone better than Ceaser.

If Dida keeps his form, Dunga will retain him till he gets a number 1 who is better. Dida performed very well during the WC and I was impressed.

As much as I love and lust Dida I doubt he will be there for the 2010. We'll see how Dunga function. The thing with Dida is that he's not that consistent. He did blunders in Milan and he did wonders too. But during the WC he was a marvel and I stand firmly on the ground saying that he is one of the best keepers in the world.

Dida will be Milan's number 1 and Dunga should hold on to him till he gets a better keeper.
