It looks like Carlos Alberto Pereira will be leaving the Brazilian National Squad. The post for the next Seleção's coach is open. Or maybe not cuz Carlos Alberto Parreira may stay as there are no conformation whatsoever. So who will it be?

I think the big problem in this 2006world cup is that parreira was too protective to the setteled starrs like
cafu roberto carlos ronaldo
i mean cafu was the best rightwinger of the world for years but his time was up,he was empty, couldn't make the backline couldn't hit a decent cross same thing with roberto carlos, very bad crosses and strikes at the goal!
ronaldo well there's been enough said about ronaldo,i think he did have his place but on the bench mabe to come in for 10 or 15 minutes and that too for the match against Croatia and Aussie. And I felt that he shud have been taken out during second half of the match against France where he would be more valuable for brazil. Sorry Ronaldo...I love you for ur skills but you killed it. Am writing you off but I know you'll prove me wrong in 2010.

A footballer in the 70s. Midfield at Sao Paulo. He was not popular in Brazil. He then transfered to Mexico. Sao Paulo FC youth squad manager between 94-96 and Sao Paulo won the Copa Conmebol in 94 under him. He discovered Rogerio Ceni and Denilson.

Sorry but that does not sound so impressive to me. He can lead Sao Paulo but what about the Seleção? Tactical is very very important in here. And I dont remember watching his games so I have no clue.

He did not have any internatioanl stint? Gosh I really hope a good coach will be there for the Seleção. I still have my hopes for Euro 2008 where after the tournament, Big Phil will resign from Portugal and I really hope and in anticipation that Big Phil will be back at the Seleção.

Well Muricy Ramalho may be the right one for the Seleção for all you know. So he was not that famous and didn have an international stint. Big deal. Carlos Alberto Perreira did not have a stint as a footballer and he did coach.
