Nelson de Jesus Silva (born October 7, 1973 in Irará, Bahia), commonly known as Dida, is a Brazilian footballer. He currently plays for A.C. Milan in the Italian Serie A.
Dida's career started with Brazilian clubs Vitória, Cruzeiro, and Corinthians. His European career took shape at Switzerland's FC Lugano. He is often referred to as a penalty kick specialist because of his natural knack of saving penalty kicks in crucial matches, an ability evident in his early days with Cruzeiro. This caught AC Milan's eye, but he was promptly sent home after a mistake in a Champions League match against Leeds United. Corinthians couldn't have been more grateful to receive the 6'5" (1.95 m) giant. In a match against huge rivals São Paulo FC, Dida saved two penalties from Raí and Corinthians went on to win 3-2. He came back to Milan next year, and regained his starting job for good.
On April 12, 2005, during a Champions League game against bitter local rivals Inter Milan, Dida was injured by a flare thrown from the crowd and subsequently received treatment. The situation deteriorated within the San Siro stadium, and the referee, Markus Merk, decided to abandon the game.

While Dida is considered as one of the world's best goalkeepers, his performance has not always been consistent. However, he received the third highest number of votes for the IFFHS World's Best Goalkeeper award in 2004, behind Italy's Gianluigi Buffon and the Czech Republic's Petr Čech. [1] He finished second behind Čech in the 2005 voting.
He put in a solid performance for Brazil at the 2006 FIFA World Cup, conceding only two goals in five matches as Brazil defeated Croatia 1-0, Australia 2-0, Japan 4-1, and Ghana 3-0. Brazil were eventually eliminated from the tournament after they lost 1:0 to France in the quarter-finals match.

Cafu, real name Marcos Evangelista de Moraes (born June 7, 1970 in the Jardim Irene neighborhood of São Paulo), is a Brazilian footballer, who is currently a defender for Italian giants A.C. Milan. He is currently the captain and the all-time leader in appearances for Brazil, with 140 as of June 27th, 2006. He has played for two World Cup-winning Brazil sides and in 2002, became the first person to play in three World Cup finals.
Cafu started playing for his hometown club, São Paulo FC, in 1988, and with them he won the Copa Libertadores in 1992 and 1993. In 1995 he moved to Spanish side Real Zaragoza, and won the Cup Winners' Cup that year.
After a brief return to Brazil, moving to Palmeiras in 1996, Cafu joined Italian side AS Roma in 1997, and won the Serie A title in 2001. Cafu was firm favourite of the home crowd, earning the nickname Il Pendolino ('the express train'). He moved to Milan in 2003, after turning down a move to Yokohama F. Marinos.
Cafu had played sparingly for the Brazilian national side in the early 1990s, but only went to the 1994 FIFA World Cup as a squad player. After an injury to Jorginho in the final against Italy, Cafu came on as a substitute in the 22nd minute, forming part of the Brazilian defense in what was a turgid final. Brazil won 3-2 on a penalty shootout after the match finished goalless.
After that, Cafu became a regular in the Brazil team, winning the Copa América in 1997 and 1999, and taking the team to the 1998 FIFA World Cup Final, which they lost to France. After a rocky qualification tournament, Cafu captained Brazil in the 2002 FIFA World Cup after an injury to regular captain Emerson, and helped his side triumph 2-0 over Germany. As he raised the cup, he said "Regina, eu te amo" ("Regina, I love you!") and immortalized the love to his wife.
He is one of only 2 two-time World Cup champions remaining in the National Team, where he played at the final, unlike Ronaldo, who never left the bench.
Cafu loves to push forward from defence to help out his midfield just like fellow teammate, Roberto Carlos which is often perceived as a weakness in Brazil's talented team of superstars.
He was named by Pelé as one of the top 125 greatest living footballers in March 2004.

Lúcio, full name Lucimar da Silva Ferreira, (born May 8, 1978 in Brasília) is a Brazilian football (soccer) defender, a 2002 FIFA World Cup winner with the Brazilian national team.
He is widely considered as Brazil's best central defender, and a key member of the Brazillian squad's defence. Frequently makes runs into the opponent's half, something which is rarely done by central defenders.
In the 2002 World Cup quarterfinal match against England, Lucio made a mistake that allowed Michael Owen to score the opening goal. Scolari defended him, stating that Lucio made no other mistakes. In the final against Germany, Lucio bore the full brunt of a free-kick, but managed to stay on his feet to complete playing all 630 minutes of the tournament. He was one of three players to do so (goalkeeper Marcos and defender Cafu were the others).
On the club level, Lúcio played for Internacional Porto Alegre (1997-2000), Bayer Leverkusen (2000-2004), and Bayern Munich (2004-).
In junior level, he played in 2000 Olympics football tournament.
In the 2006 World Cup, he has not conceded a foul in 386 minutes, a record

Emerson Ferreira da Rosa, popularly known as Emerson (born April 4, 1976 in Pelotas, Brazil) is a Brazilian football (soccer) midfielder who currently plays for Juventus of Italy's Serie A.
Emerson was a late-year of a man who kinda goes replacementRomário at the 1998 World Cup, and then suffered a reversal four years later. The original captain of Brazil's 2002 World Cup team, Emerson dislocated his shoulder [1] in training before the first game; Cafu replaced him as captain and Brazil went on to win the cup.
Emerson is nicknamed "El Puma" (the puma) for his feline movements in midfield.

Roberto Carlos, full name Roberto Carlos da Silva (born April 10, 1973, Garça, São Paulo), is a Brazilian footballer, specializing as a wingback, currently playing for Real Madrid, though there are rumours that he will not renew his contract and will leave Real for Olympiacos or Chelsea FC.
Roberto Carlos is known for his trademark powerful free kicks, explosive speed and aggressive attacking plays, often leading swift counter attacks from the back of the field. He has played for various clubs such as Palmeiras, Inter Milan, before settling with Real Madrid in 1996, making him the team's longest serving foreign superstar players. He has amassed 120 caps, scoring 11 goals for the Brazilian national team, and helping his country win the FIFA World Cup 2002 in Korea/Japan and finishing runners-up in France 1998. He is also famous for scoring an incredible 25-yard free kick against France on June 1997 at the Tournoi de France, when the ball seemed to be heading wide off the leftmost man in the French wall, Didier Deschamps, before taking a devastating left swerve, leaving goalkeeper Fabien Barthez stunned.
Roberto Carlos is regarded as one of the best and toughest defenders of all time. He was named by Pelé as one of the top 125 greatest living footballers in March 2004.
On June 24, 2005, Carlos was robbed by two gunmen while doing a live radio interview. However, the thieves did not harm him, merely taking his watch and the interviewer's cellular phone.
On August 2, 2005, Carlos received dual Spanish and Brazilian citizenship. This proved important for Real Madrid, as it meant that he now counted as a European Union player, opening up one of the club's allowed three slots for non-EU players and enabling Real to sign fellow Brazilian star Robinho.
After the elimination at the quarter-final of 2006 FIFA World Cup, he announced that he will no longer play for the Brazil National Team. He was severely criticised by the press and the general public in Brazil for his performance in the Cup, especially for failing to mark French striker Thierry Henry in the free kick crossed by Zinedine Zidane that eventually was scored by Henry and eliminated Brazil.

Adriano Leite Ribeiro (born February 17, 1982 in Rio de Janeiro), known simply as Adriano, is a popular Brazilian footballer. Some of his clubs include Flamengo, Fiorentina, Parma, and his current club, Internazionale of Milan. Adriano, weighs 91 kg and is 189 cm tall. He is known for his agility, strength, balance, and ball control.
Biography
Adriano began his career in the youth squad of Flamengo, and played in the pro squad between 1999 to 2001.
Adriano entered the national youth teams as a teenager. He won the 1999 edition of the FIFA U-17 World Championship, and helped the Brazil team to the Quarter Finals of the 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship; he was the top scorer for Brazil with 6 goals and won the silver boot award for the competition, with 5 goals, just behind the golden boot winner, Argentinian striker Javier Saviola.
Adriano came to international fame in his first appearance for Inter Milan, when he scored against Real Madrid in the 2001 Santiago Bernabeu Trophy with a powerful free kick. With Inter already boasting first-class strikers, they loaned him out to Fiorentina during 2002. In the summer of 2002, a 2 year co-ownership deal with Parma of the player was agreed. In Parma, he formed one of the most impressive striking duos of Serie's A last decade with Adrian Mutu. They scored more than 15 goals with assists from each other. Adriano's kicks are strong and accurate, though sometimes lacking technical execution.
He returned to the Nerazzurri in 2004 and signed 4 and a half year contract and has since been an asset to the team. He has scored a total of 15 goals in his 16 appearances during the 2004-05 season. While playing for the Brazilian national team, he won the 2004 Copa América in Peru. Adriano was the leading goal scorer of the tournament and was selected as the best player.
Adriano is often considered as the long-term successor to Ronaldo in the Brazillian national team. When he scores a goal, he looks to the sky in memory of his recently deceased father. In Italy, he is known by the nickname of "L'Imperatore" ('The Emperor'), referring to the Roman emperor Hadrian (Adriano in Italian). He is also known as "The Train of Milan".
He had been linked with moves to Chelsea and Real Madrid, but this rumor was put to rest after Adriano signed a four-year contract extension in 2005 that will keep him with Inter until 2010. "It's flattering that so many prestigious clubs want him," Giacinto Facchetti, Inter Milan's club president, told journalists, "but we're keeping tight hold of him." However, after a somewhat dissapointing 2005/2006 season with only 13 league goals and some poor performances, he has again been linked with a move away to Chelsea, Real Madrid and Inter's city rivals, AC Milan as they look for a replacment for Andriy Schevchenko. During the 2005 Confederations Cup, Adriano was named Player of the Tournament and was the competition's leading scorer with five goals. In the final, he steered Brazil to an unforgettable victory. Two outstanding goals helped Brazil to beat Argentina 4-1, the first one coming from a blistering left-footed shot in the 11th minute. The second came as a result of a Cicinho cross, with Adriano heading it in. This goal was also impressive because Brazil's players passed the ball among themselves for more than one minute, with most of the players participating in the build-up to the goal.
From 11 July 2004 through 25 June 2005, Adriano has scored an impressive total of 40 goals. They have come from an assortment of matches (28) including appearances in: Serie A, Coppa Italia & Champions League games for Inter in 2004/05; Copa America, South American World Cup qualifying, and Confederations Cup games for Brazil.
Adriano was called up to the Brazilian National side ahead of the World Cup in Germany. He is expected to line-up alongside Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Kaka in an impressive attacking foursome. Brazil are favourites to lift the cup. He opened his World Cup account on June 18th 2006, scoring the first goal in a 2-0 win against Australia. He also scored the second goal in a 3-0 victory against Ghana. The goal against Ghana was Brazil's 200th goal in the World Cup, Pele scored the 100th.
Brazil met France in the World Cup Quarter Finals. Despite a number of goalscoring chances, Brazil failed to score, whilst France, inspired by a resurgent Zidane, managed to grab a goal on 57 minutes to put themselves through.
Adriano had a disappointing World Cup, despite scoring twice (both against Ghana) he had just five shots all tournament, as he and his teammates failed to find the right mix between defence and attack.
Adriano became father in June 2006, his son also born in Rio de Janeiro.
