You ppl must have heard the recent transfer speculation about Hargreaves being offered a move to united, but do you think he is good enough for Man U? I dont pay much attention to the Bundesliga, i dont no how to spell it either, so ive only ever seen him play for england. Yes he was very good at the world cup, but can we judje him on a few performances?
What are you thoughts?

LIVORNO, Italy (AP) - A small group of Croatian fans formed a human swastika midway through an exhibition game with Italy on Wednesday.
Sitting on one end of Livorno's Armando Picchi stadium in a section walled off from Italian fans by large barriers, about 200 Croatian supporters arranged themselves into the Nazi symbol about 30 minutes into Croatia's 2-0 win.
Livorno is known as a left-wing town and the Croatian fans were apparently trying to incite the home fans.
Police eventually moved in, forcing the fans to stop.

charity shield in the bag. good start.
our play was great to watch, love it. how our play has changed with the pace of bellamy, gonzalez & pennant
they have big names who didn't fire
we have hard workers who were on FIRE!

Great way to start! That's the way a TEAM plays. No amount of money can buy that. I am still new to the English football scene, but enjoyed the play tremendously. Seemed to flow more and be more aggressive than World Cup play, where it looked like everyone was just too scared to make a mistake.
I loved seeing Chelsea go down! I have quickly developed a dislike for everything about them, from their owner on down to their players. Has Mourinho trotted out any of his patented excuses yet? Legs still not fresh?

English pips shld learn to accept like Australia, USA & other African countries that they are not one of the best in the world and it is not because of refs, Seaman, Rooney injury or C. Ronaldo...

let's put things into perspective:
FACT - England missed 3 out of 4 penalties. and 2 of those misses came from Gerrard and Carragher.
OPINION - England would have got further than the last eight if Defoe or Bent was selected instead of Walcott.

If I'm not mistaken Lamepard had a go at the England team in his serialised autobiography for News of The World as well.
Where is the thread calling him a turncoat? Gerrard's honesty is worthy of praise, not this.

so that means they'll miss games against charlton, watford and crucially spurs. i wish i could say i was surprised, but Man U have the worst uck in pre-season. this crap is just bloooody typical.

I am strating to hate pre season and the first 5 games, but i think that Man U are better equiped to deal with this now. I say start Ole and Saha and I guess Gigs in the middle if SAF doen't buy someone. I think that they can pull through and get 3 wins without them. I hope everyone will be back to kick Arsenals butss. The we kick theirs.

i really cant understand what the stupid FA is thinking about. rooney's foul probably doesn even deserve a yellow, this foul clearly isnt as malicious as the infamous groin incident. i mean, perhaps there shldnt even b a hearing in the first place! this kind of decisions r increasingly against rooney n manutd huh? crap FA.
let's hope the rest of the squad could b spurred on to win the next 3matches without them..

come on!!! BIG FREAKING DEAL!!! if there were not going to be available for the first 3 games of the season, then a problem is what we would have had. They will be ready to go for the season. I believe this is a good test!! A good team works through problems, and if they can get through this, it will show they might be the squad we have waited 5 years for. They have saha, ole, smith, Rossi.... who are all quality. They cannot be a one dimentional team, which only plays well with rooney. Rooney already knows the ropes, so it is time to let the others get used to playing tough matches, and make us an ALL ROUND TEAM, which can win without a "star" player.

This decision is absolute garbage. The red card was nothing more than player reputation than anything. It wasn't even worthy of a yellow card. I can deal with Scholes' red because it was a stupid foul for a player to commit when they are already on a yellow card. At least this will give Rooney enough time to fully recover from his groin injury.

now u understand why no real manutd supporter supports england. its because the FA is behind them. the FA treats united like absolute crap with that nonsense rio ban, this stupid ban and the countless number of other bans in the last 10 years that have just screwed us. and to think that by having our first ever board member in the FA things would be a little more lenient.

These things happen for a reason, trust me we'll be laughing about it after the season is over when the lads lift the premiership trophy. Chill it's nothing the team can't handle...

They should be able to beat the likes of charlton and watford anyway but spurs will be tougher, they are developing into a good side but probably Carrick will be available by then, if not sooner.

should McClaren play him there or should he remain in centre midfield? with Beckham dropped I thought Lennon would be given his chance but it doesn't look that way.

I'd put him in the center with Hargreaves and replace Lampard with Lennon on the right, I know its harsh but Gerrard is a better attacker than Lampard and with Hargreaves in the middle Gerrard will be able to do what he does best

Stevie will be first choice over Fat Lampard either way. McClaren has named him Vice-Captain which means that Stevie will more likely than not play in the middle with Fat Lampard and Lennon,SWP (if he can get any time of day at cheski) or Pennant will play on the right. Hargreaves had a decent world cup but can't be picked over Fat Frank or Little Lennon

the problem is Lampard is perhaps too good a player to be left out, even though he had a poor world cup. McClaren is probably trying to play them both, although not together in the centre like Erikson did, but unfortunately this is at Lennon's expense.

I think this can be sort out by next euro cup.. too early to plan. Who knows wright philips, pennant or ....... gets revive in this season or next season. Eitehr way it was proven at Liverpool that Gerrard can play the RW effectively and better than most but he SHOULD play in the center and be free to roam. Lampard is one dimensional, and as good at attacking as he is his defensive shortcomings get hidden by Makelele and Essiens defensive skills. Lampard is like the kid at school who does one thing for a big project and gets as much credit as the rest of the group. i think in a friendly McClaren should give this midfield a shot and see if it is explosive, if not keep Lamps in
.......Hargreaves.......
Lennon..............Cole
.........Gerrard........

Lennon or SWP SHOULD be given their chance
He should be brave and go for dropping either StevieG of Lamps - either one dropped would make little impact to the team with Lennon out wide right.
Downing shouldnt even be in the squad - time to give Barry another crack of the whip. THe team looks very much same ol same ol

On form Lennon should be infront of Lampard and i'm not sure about Downing either but this is somewhat of a make-ship team so why worry?. Stevie will do a job wherever he plays and he might not play him as a out and out winger anyroads.

well im happy for theo.. he scored earlier in Englands U21's game against moldova..apparently he played 66 minutes and scored in the 3rd minute!
well everyone who has worked with him has given him big wraps! now even Taylor the U21's Boss is giving him big wraps too..

welp lets hope it can only get better for the lad

Scores after 3 mins - does bugger all after that - if he was truely the 2nd coming you'd think he have bagged another couple of goals.
Hopefully he should figure in the leauge cup sides this season and hopefully some more gamers too

Hargreaves is terrific when he plays in a holding midfield position. The only problems are when he gets shifted him around the pitch. Hargreaves will be an excellent signing
