Hrithik looses National Award for Koi Mil Gaya (2003)

It seems Hrithik lost the National Award for best actor for the film in Koi Mil gaya (way back 2003)
Most of the Hindi film names felt that Hrithik deserves to win the Award. Shah Rukh even expressed the same.
Whats your take on that? Do you agree to Shah Rukh that Hrithik deserved the National Award for Koi Mil Gaya or otherwise?

Well Hrithik is not the only one competing. Its the National award for pete's sake so I'm very sure you have other talented actors from different languages like Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Bengali, Bhojpuri and so forth!
And the panel for the National Award are highly reputable so if Hrithik lost than there must be a good solid reason to it. Who won it by the way?

I don't think so Nila. I watched Koi Mil Gaya and Hrithik was wonderful in it. It shows his versatality as an actor. I wud have wished that he won the National Award and was shocked when he lost it. He lost it to a Tamil actor named Vikram who won the award for his superb portrayal in the tamil movie Pithamagan.
I actually watched the movie Pithamagan out of curiosity and after watching the movie, I realised that Vikram did infact deserve the National award. He was really good. Too good in fact. His portrayal as an outcast man who does not even need to say a single word thru out the whole movie was simply mind blowing.
Tho Hrithik was good in Koi Mil Gaya but Vikram was amazing in Pithamagan and after watching both movies did I realise the fact of Hrithik loosing the National Award.
Of course this is my opinion
