I'm proud to say that I know who Ranjinikanth is. That dude did several hindi films too. There's one with Amitabh Bachan where there's a song which goes "Ooo aee ooo aeee" and Ranjinikanth will be the police dude who will die. And yes Lakhy thanks for loaning the Chandrmukhi DVD. Nice movie and I cant wait for it to be done in Hindi.
And forget about him being bankable. With his fee unly big guns can afford him. But I dont think of him as a good actor. Just allright. Prefer Kamal Hassan.

lakhy why did u say i shuld know this?rajnikanth is the highest paid actor in india.
bankability is a different thing.
not all producers can bank on rajnikanth coz he is too costly.

Ok maybe its not the best of statement but let me redeem myself. True he gets quite a lot. Even Amitabh Bachan, and the Khan's dont even get half of the amount he's getting. If he's doing a film it will be a big event. Like Guy Folks Night. And it will create attention due to his Superstar status. So whatever the outcome maybe the producers still get their share of profits. If a film of his does not hit the standard of his expectation, he will cut down his remuneration to a landslide figure. It will still be a sum but landslide for his standard. The producers will not quite feel the pinch. Maybe he does not deserve to be in the bankability list due to his status but you cant help ponderiong on the factor that it might as well be it.

i live in india
i am from andhra.
u cant even imagine the craze of rajnikanth in tamilnadu coz i do watch rajnikanth movies.
the producers pay him his remuneration and also give him a share in the profits of the film.
recently his film chandramukhi grossed 109 crores and rajnikanth totally received rs16crores[only the official amount,the actual amt he got is more than 16 crores].
my frnd bharath besides being a salman fan is also a rajinikanth fan.
u wont believe there are two rajnikant temples in tamilnadu.for many ppl in tamilnadu he is more than god.

as i told bankability is a different thing and highest paid actor is a different thing.

So if we multiply the results with let say a given formula to execute such polls which may not even cover a cross section of people let alone the highly opiniated ones and if we're gonna base that on the derived results from polls to draw an analogy will that be a bet to say that a director, actor or actress is or are highly bankable. if we're gonna do a calculation and its gonna be a rough figure with lets just assume, about 500 000 ++ possibilities and that proves to a certain extent it can be exhausitive let alone constituted legitamcy.
This has always been my concern.

Why complicate such a simple issue with maths? And even if am to get a yardstick figure to derive the poll results and further process it, bearing in mind that the possibilities can infact be more than 500 000+++ and that means a proper modelling of the figure to get the reason and that figure will not be giving us 100 per cent acuracy and that's about 10 million possibilities. So will poll help in bankability I have to say no but will it give us the rough idea yes it does but once again when you bring in the possibility it can be rather stringent.
And I truly feel that the most bankable star is Amir for his quality and delivery which is yet to be matched, SRK for his status and his projects which I have to say can be entertaining, Salman cuz of his status and fan-base which over-clouds SRK and his delivery of comic-sense and lastly Abhi for his up-rising status and also bearing in mind that if rumours are to be believed, he's the next Yash Raj thing.
