GREATEST IN INDIA...NOT IN BOLLYWOOD BUT IN INDIA

I am sick and tired of all this Bollywood hype. India is so bloody big and there are other movie industries in India besides Bollywood. You have the Bengali, Gujjurathi, Bhojpuri, Malayalam, Tamil and so on. So lets just close our eyes and think. Not all great movies, actors and directors comes from Bollywood. They come from other sections as well so why the hype bout Bollywood? Is because it's the largest movie producing industry in the whole wide world? Or the luvlay chiqitas? Or maybe the masala in it?
So now what I want ya'll to do is simply tell me in your own honest opinion, who do you think is the greatest director, actor and actress in India. And name me too the greatest INDIAN movie that ya'll have watched.

sorry but my ans all falls back to bolly. dont really watch movies from other languages in india.

as for me, director will be Bhansali. Actor will be Big B and tamil actor Vikram and actress will be my luv Juhi Chawla and Kajol. I dont have any for movie but I guess the tamil movie Nayakan by Maniratnam stands close.
Interesting to note that Nayakan is selected as one of Times 100 best movies ever in the world.

Movie: Mother India and Kannathil Mutthamital [Tamil]
Actor: Dilip Kumar and Kamal Hassan
Actress: Madhubala, Vyjanthi Mala and Sharmila Tagore

Wow Ankush, thats quite a topic you have in there. Its a breath of fresh air and for once it talks bout the Indian Film Industry and not the Bollywood Film Industry.
Greatest Director Ever= Satyajit Ray (Bengali), Rituparno Gosh (Bengali) and Maniratnam (Tamil)
Greatest Movie Ever= The Apu Trilogy (Pather Panchali-1955, Aparajito-1956 and Apur Sansar-1959.) This is a Bengali movie directed by Satyajit Ray.
Greatest Actor Ever= The Late Cheveliar Sivaji Ganeson(Tamil) and Padmashree Kamal Hassan (Tamil).
Greatest Actress Ever= Nargis (Hindi), Madhubala (Hindi) and Soumitra Chatterjee (Bengali).
