Rock Star Salman Khan “mane” issue in Jaan-e-mann

The 41-year-old heart-throb, who plays rock star Suhan Kapoor in the movie, will be seen supporting a flowing mane and Zorro mask.

You must be familiar with Salman Khan taking off his shirts to reveal his Atlas-like torso, but in his forthcoming Jaan-e-Mann, he literally rocks because of his ‘head show.’ Following an image-makeover, it is his head and not his body that would attract audience attention, revealed a source close to the film star in Mumbai.
In a special program aired on Starnews on Wednesday, it was revealed that the 41-year-old heart-throb plays rock star Suhan Kapoor in the movie, who dons a flowing mane and Zorro mask during his shows.
The movie made news around July 2005 when, following the release of an audio recording of an alleged phone conversation between Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai, in which Salman was heard to direct profanities towards Preity Zinta, it was feared that Zinta will opt out of the film. Zinta, however, continued maintaining that the authenticity of the recording had not yet been established. Later the recording was indeed proven to be a fake.
Written and directed by Shishir Kunder, Jaan-E-Mann (Beloved) will try and recreate the on-screen magic that Salman and Akshay were able to pull off in Mujhse Shaadi Karoge (2004). Pre-release video clips show Akshay Kumar playing the curly-haired and bespectacled Agastya Roy. He carries a pair of binoculars and what he does with it, is yet to be revealed. The movie has been in the news because of talks that it has fetched a record price for its distribution rights. Other prominent actors include Anupam Kher, Aman Verma, and Preeti Goel, and the movie is slated for a Dussehra release.
It may be recalled that Salman Khan hogged the limelight as a ‘soft’ Romeo in the 1989 blockbuster Maine Pyar Kiya. He then went on to star in some of the biggest hits of the 90s, among them Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Karan Arjun, and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. In recent years, however, Khan's drama off-screen proved more gripping than any movie.

Salmans first on-screen kiss?

Rumors are rife that Salman Khan shares his first on-screen lip-lock with Preity Zinta in the forthcoming movie Jaanemann, directed by Shirish Kunder. When contacted, the producer of the movie, Sajid Nadiadwala denied the news saying, “There is no truth to the rumor as there is no kiss in the movie”. Well if the news was true, Salman’s fans would be in for big surprise as this would be a little different from Salman’s onscreen image.
Jaanemann is slated for a Diwali release worldwide and also stars Akshay Kumar in the lead.
