Konkona sen Sharma and Irfan khan won the best supporting female and male categories for their turn as a romantic couple in Life in a Metro. The best screenplay award was also given to Anurag Basu for Life in a metro.

Rishi Kapoor was awarded a Lifetime achievements award. Filmfare power awards were given to Yash chopra and Aditya Chopra.

Rishi Kapoor’s son, Ranbir Kapoor won best debutant award for Saawariyan along with Deepika Padukone for Om Shanti Om. Deepika also bagged the Sony Head N Shoulders Fresh Face Of The Year award.

The RD Burman award went to Monty Sharma for Saawariyan. The Best music director and background music award went to A R Rehman for Guru. Guru earned best choreography award for Saroj Khan (Barso Re) and Best female playback for Shreya Ghosal ( Barso Re). Shaan bagged best male playback for Saawariyan (Jab se Tere Naina)

Red Chillies Entertainment was awarded for best special effects for Om Shanti Om.

Hence she was required on the sets to say a few dialogues from behind the camera which in turn would help Hrithik enact his scene and dialogues in the much needed manner.

Prior to the scene Hrithik was punctual as always and ready to give his shot but had to wait on Aishwarya for almost an hour. And when she emerged from her van she had a request to tag along a visitor who happened to be her family member. Permission was given and everyone was looking forward to completing the scene as soon as possible. But when Hrithik began with his lines Ash would very often turn around and signal to her visitor. Although she never missed with the cues that she was supposed to give, Aishwarya was forever fidgeting and in turn irking Hrithik to no end. All of these tantrums that she was throwing were so distractive for Hrithik and it became difficult for him to concentrate on his dialogue delivery and his performance. Aishwarya was also making gestures to the chaiwalla and her personal assistant to check on her visitor during the entire act.

Hrithik Roshan did not show his disapproval of Aishwarya’s behaviour even once and continued with his dialogues and scenes to give his best for each and every shot though it was difficult to grasp as to why the lead actress of the film wanted to sabotage her own film.

Though Hrithik never showed his displeasure on the sets of the film he found his opportunity later when he willingly offered lifts to Ashutosh Gowariker and also his assistants on the sets of the movie but purposely refused to offer the helicopter facility to his leading lady of the period film. All through the shoot of Jodhaa Akbar Hrithik traveled daily in his exclusive mode of transport to do away with the bustling traffic of the Mumbai metropolis but did not make the slightest of inclinations to offer Ash a mere lift from Karjat to Mumbai.

When Hrithik was recently questioned on this, he very sarcastically retorted, “Perhaps Aishwarya would like her first helicopter ride with her husband. You see, she’s a married woman now”.
