Bollywood : Now its Gujarat Brahmins after Aamir Khan
Ahmedabad, June 22 : An organisation of Brahmins in Gujarat has approached police in connection with the death of Pravin Joshi who burnt himself to death to protest the screening of “Fanaa” as it stars Aamir Khan.
Bramha Samaj filed the complaint with the Porbandar police Wednesday evening against Aamir, producer Yash Raj Films and the owner of Amber theatre in Jamnagar that was screening the movie when Joshi set himself on fire.

The Porbandar police have forwarded the complaint to their counterparts in Jamnagar.
Thirty-year-old Joshi from Rajkot attempted self-immolation June 11 evening during the interval of a “Fanaa” screening. He succumbed to his burns this week.
The film was withdrawn after the bid at the request of the producer the next day.
The film has been facing a boycott in Gujarat from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after Aamir called for the proper rehabilitation of those displaced by the Narmada dam, which is seen as a lifeline for the state.
