Rakhi Sawant: NCW says case was of sexual assault, seeks tape of Mika’s party
Rakhi Sawant ’s complaint before the National Commission for Women (NCW) against pop singer Mika alleging that the singer had forcibly kissed her at his birthday party has drawn the ire of the Commission. It says the case is clearly of sexual assault.
“We have asked TV channels to send us footage of the party as we want to identify the guests who made fun of the incident. Action should be taken against all those who made slight of it,” NCW chairperson Girija Vyas told reporters.
“What we have seen on TV has left us stunned. It is clearly a case of sexual assault,” she said.
Vyas said that if she was present there she would have slapped Mika then and there. She also added that every girl should take training in self-defence to deal with such situations.
The commission has sought a report from Mumbai police on the action taken on an FIR lodged by the Bollywood performer in the matter.
Vyas also said that it was not a matter of an individual or of Rakhi alone, it was symbolic case through which “we want to make it clear that women cannot be treated as objects.”

Excuse me every body…but i would like to ask u all that does wearing short skirts give a license to men like mika to kiss and that too forcefully…..i mean ….just try n think out of ur shells…it is we who demand such kind of roles and hot dance numbers…..and at the same time trying to potray an INNOCENT INDIAN IMAGE(..so called)..now thats what i call height of HIPOCRACY!!!!……This girl,no matter what her background is,is RIGHT and she has every right to stand up for her WITH OR WITHOUT OUR SUPPORT!!!…..no wonder why even police in our country is not affraid of committing a rape…..thats because people like us prefer to keep shut….ITS A SHAME!!!!!!
