Bollywood: Phir Hera Pheri - confusion never ceases and neither does comedy

Phir Hera Pheri which is a sequel to the blockbuster comedy ‘Hera Pheri’ will hit the theatres shortly. The film resumes where ‘Hera Pheri’ just ended and retains the original main male characters Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal. The female roles are being played by Bipasha Basu and Rimi Sen and hopefully they will create the magic together that ‘Herapheri’ did.

With comedians like and Johny Lever and Rajpal Yadav being part of the cast, the film is expected to be hilarious to the core. ‘Hera Pheri’ original was directed by Priyadarshan, the uncrowned king of comedy in present day Bollywood but this time the producer Feroz Nadiadwala teamed with Neeraj Vora, the original screenplay and dialogue writer of ‘Hera Pheri’.

In ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ the trio Paresh Rawal who played the character ‘Baburao’, Akshay Kumar who brought the character ‘Raju’ into life on screen and Suniel Shetty who depicted the role of ‘Shyam’ keep looking for the best ways to invest their newly acquired fortune and that’s what the film is about.Rajpal Yadav’s role is that of an investor who invites trouble by borrowing money from a gangster.
Let’s see if ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ can recreate the magic and live up to the expectations of the people.
