Sania Mirza continues to climb rankings: now 35th
Sania Mirza has moved up two more places in the WTA charts. Sania is now ranked 35th in the world.
Sania is currently out of action as she is nursing multiple injuries and will return back to court just before the French Open championship to tune up for the clay court Grand Slam next month.
Mirza, who last featured in the recent Fed Cup at Seoul despite her injuries, has 516.75 points.
Other Indian to improve ranking is Delhi’s Ankita Bhambri, who moved three places to 332. However Fed Cupper Shikha Uberoi slipped one place to 179.
Amelie Mauresmo of France leads the table followed by Kim Clijsters of Belgium
