She is doing this ad for Petadishoom, which is the Indian chapter for PeTA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). PeTA has more than a million members and supporters and it is the largest animal rights organization in the world. Founded in 1980, PETA is dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of all animals. The other side of the glittering and pompous circus shows is the miserable lives of animals who are forced to perform repetitious, confusing and often painful tricks. Animals do not naturally ride bicycles, stand on their heads or jump through rings of fire, so circus handlers use whips, electric shock prods and other tools of torture to train them. On top of that , even the animals’ access to basic necessities such as clean water, sufficient food and vital veterinary care is often ignored or severely limited.
According to a PETA release on 26 April, at Kolkata, Shilpa Shetty is reminding everyone who might be tempted to go to a circus that animals there are sorely abused, often inadequately fed, and routinely hit with whips and rods and even electric shock pods to make them obey commands for a few moments of unenlightened public amusement .

shilpa shetty was doing some campaiging on aids and for aids associated victims, she had shown great concern ,good being an actress and a social worker is admirable.

shilpa is one actress who has been consistently delivering goods whether it be in the acting, dancing,stage shows or social causes. She has been steadily following her goals. she desreves applause for that. She is also a very humourous and a straight forward person without any pretence and artificiality.I wish her all the very best on her birthday.I am happy she has taken the prevention of cruelty to animals.
