Bollywood gets swamped with movies this summer
Bollywood won’t fail to provide recreation this summer as it is likely to be flooded with movies this summer. The first one to hit the theatres will reportedly be Kunal Kohli’s ‘Fanaa’, featuring Aamir Khan and Kajol. Hopefully, it will be a huge comeback for Kajol who decided to be the home-maker in the initial years of her married life.

This will be followed by Karan Johar’s ‘Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna’. Besides, big movies like Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Corporate’, ‘Munnabhai Meets Mahatma’, ‘Kabul Express’ and Vishal Bhardwaj’s much awaited adaptation of ‘Othello’ are all lined up for release in this summer. “It is going to be one of the most exciting summers in recent years,” said trade analyst Taran Adarsh.Media quoted him saying that the money riding in the time-frame of May to August between “Rs 150-200 crore.” He is reported to have said that every genre “from horror to love to thriller will be represented this summer.”
Rakesh Roshan’s home production ‘Krrish’ which will introduce the genre of ’superhero films’ in India is expected to create a sensation among the children and the grown up alike. ‘Krrish’ is the sequel to the famous flick ‘Koi Mil Gaya’.
And because of these films the tourism industry is getting a big boost. Rather the tour operators are prudent enough to capitalize on it by offering packages to places where the films are shot. Special tours to Poland are being offered, particularly the Zakopane area where the film ‘Fanaah’ was shot. Sudhanshu Hukku, CEO, Locations, which brings world tourist operators together with filmmakers, reportedly said that after the release of ‘Kaho Na Pyar Hai’ tourism to New Zealand grew 10-fold.
