Cricket: Sachin Tendulkar’s 33rd Birthday.
The master blaster Sachin Tendulkar celebrates his 33rd birthday on Monday (April 24, 1973, Bombay ( now Mumbai ), Maharashtra), certainly a little down battling injuries, but surely looking forward to resurrect a phenomenal career.

According to Wasim Akram
“I would even rate Tendulkar as better than Brian Lara. The world can swoon over the records and mercurial ability of the West Indian but for me Tendulkar brings infinite value to the dressing room. You judge a man by the respect he gets within his own set of men. Tendulkar is beyond reproach on this issue; Lara would only set the tongues wagging.
Tendulkar has clearly been one of the three best batsmen I have ever seen on a cricket field. I would rate him along with Sir Vivian Richards and Sunil Gavaskar as the `unbowlable’ batsmen of my era.â€Â
Sachin Tendulkar is clearly at the crossroads of his career at 33, the future depends on determination, patient, and an ability to overcome all odds. He has underwent operation earlier for his elbow problem and now also he is recovering from yet another shoulder surgery , the master batsman will remain away from the game for some time, which could turn out to be a blessing in disguise, allowing him the space to ponder and work out his game. Tendulkar is set to miss the one-dayers in West Indies, venue of the World Cup next year, but expected to be fit in time for the four-Test series beginning on June 2.
Look at Sachin’s impressive record like :
132 Tests scored 10,469, highest score of 248* at an average of 55.39 and holds the world record for maximum number of centuries at 35.
In ODIs Sachin has played 362 matches scored 14,146 runs with the highest score of 186* at an average of 44.20 at a strike rate of 85.98.
Desifans, Let us all pray for his good health and quick return to play ground.

Sachin is a great player… I pray for his good well-being. But folks, lets try and see the reality. You might think he is 33, but for me, he has crossed 43
.
Sachin has carried the enormous pressure of indian batting single handedly for atleast a decade.
How did he handle it? Every ball he defended, he made doubly sure that there was no chance for him to get out. When he hit a shot, a read the ball twice over after delivery, and put twice the amount of power & heart so that it stays hit!
So naturally, he is mentally + physically drained, not because of the number or runs he has scored, but because of the pressure he has been through. I cant imagine any cricketer live up to the expactations as he has right from the age of 15 to 30!
Now, he might hit an occasional ton, but more is expected from a front line batsmen.
So lets be prepared for the End of the Tendulkar Era. He is ‘the best’ thing that has happened to Cricket, specially Indian Cricket!
