Sourav Ganguly is not susceptible to genuine pace
Dismissing the theory as “myth'’, Sourav Ganguly said that his handling of Shoaib Akhtar during the Karachi Test against Pakistan should prove that he was not susceptible to genuine pace and it should stand him in good stead for India’s future matches. A confident Sourav beamed, “Yes, I am definitely keen to get back to colored clothing. With all the runs behind me in one-day cricket, I’m looking forward to playing the World Cup as well.'’

The former Indian captain, dropped from the one-day squad against Pakistan, said it had been quite disappointing to lose the Karachi Test and not being able to convert his start into a big score. “Disappointment” is the only word Ganguly found fitting, “It is disappointing. We were in a great position on day one. Before lunch, they were at 39 for 6 and to lose a Test match from there, obviously it is very disappointing. I played well in both the innings. But a big score was required at that stage, which did not happen. It is a disappointment. But at least you know you are playing well.'’

What happened in the dressing room ? Sourav Ganguly, dismissed talks of being isolated in the dressing room, saying he had good time during the Test series . “These are mere speculations. I had a good time in the dressing room. All the boys have played under me, so there is no problem. Yes, these things are there. I give my suggestions. And there are times when Rahul has carried out those,” Sourav confirmed. Certainly Former captain Sourav Ganguly has no communication problem with India’s present cricket captain Rahul Dravid.

sourav should defenitely be in the team when we are going to west indies for the 2007 world cup as we are definitely needing a blend of experience and youth blood in our team.sourav’s presence can surely motivate the team in the right way as he had lead the team well in 2003 world cup.i hope he will be back soon.

Krishanu Sinha S, rati, Joshi the givs ther opinon but now
i am telling to every body thaht evry body suport for “sourav ganguly”
1.i think he is a great player and deserves to be in team.
2.Saurav not suspect against pace bowling? That is a good joke. In test matches, Saurav averages just around 30 or well below 30 against Australia, WI, Pak and South Africa. All of them have one thing in common. They have bowlers who can deliver at 90+ an hour
3.DADA sux big time. When gangu got the captainship, he was lucky to have the best players around himself. Dravid has been much more adventurous. either dravid or greg, and the results speak for themselves. and gangu is better than sachin and dravid against pace attack !!!!!! what a dumbass.

Rati laugh all u can, u can’t eliminate the fact that Gangu has won just one final, thanks to Yuvi and Kaif. As the ODI team looks right now, Gangu doesn’t seem to have any position for himself. DADA sux big time. When gangu got the captainship, he was lucky to have the best players around himself. Dravid has been much more adventurous. either dravid or greg, and the results speak for themselves. and gangu is better than sachin and dravid against pace attack !!!!!! what a dumbass. All Bengalis are supporters of Ganguly. For them Gangu means much more than India. Last night I was at some bengali shop and Dravid got out in the 4th ODI and the Bengali shopkeeper literally was jumping with joy and clapping. How disgusting !!! u boo at ur player even when he is about to start his batting. shame on u .

this is being very rude to ganguly by some people in india. i think he is a great player and deserves to be in team. yes saurav not suspect against pace bowling. atleast not like tendulkar and dravid. he proved to be best captain of all times in india and this is because he was an aggressive captain and is agressive player. whatever some people say, dravid cannot take his place. we need someone like ganguly to lead team india. he is neither selfish. wo is selfish come across through media, the most selfish dravid… who wants just captiancy and chappell. we don’t want divide and rule policy for team india… this captaincy and coach greg is doing the same. i don’t know why are they being supported.if this will go on 2007 world cup will be a mess. we can’t even trough to super six… and planning to win world cup. Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!!!!

All of them have one thing in common. They have bowlers who can deliver at 90+ an hour. People have to get over Ganguly and focus on what is good for the team in the long run. Individuals and selfish people come and go…team is more important than individuals.
