Sourav Ganguly is back in Team India for Pakistan
Sourav Ganguly is back ! Dada is in the Indian team that plays a three test series against Pakistan. Selection commitee chairman Kiran More announced the team which dropped Kaif and reinstated Saurav Ganguly. Mumbai opener Waseem Jaffer maintains his position in the side. Zaheer Khan makes an expected comeback after his superb performance in the domestic matches. Surpise inclusion is Parthiv Patel.

Kiran More maintained that the selectors do not need to answer for every decision. But tried to justify Ganguly’s inclusion by mentioning that Team India needs to have more experience in the middle order against the “better prepared” Pakistani team. And More tried to justify Sourav Ganguly’s exclusion in the last test match against Sri Lanka by saying that the selectors were trying to build the team of the future.
More had this for all of us… “We have some plans for the team, you don’t need to know everything about it” … With so much politics involved… Sharad Pawar meeting Ganguly, Tendulkar, Dravid and Greg Chappell individually to finally get a mutual agreement … we all know that the teams are not definitely decided on performance and potential alone !!
Well, Sourav Ganguly got a chance to perform and prove his detractors wrong and win over all the fans he once had. Hopefully the meeting behind closed doors did not include a staged farewell to Ganguly at the end of the series … Best of luck Team India .. best of luck Dada …
The complete team: Rahul Dravid (captain), Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan, Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh, Ajit Agarkar, Parthiv Patel, MS Dhoni, Sourav Ganguly, RP Singh, VVS Laxman, Wasim Jaffer, Zaheer Khan and Gautam Gambhir.

It is a shame how sport is run in this country. Sachin, a media sponsored player, was an out and out failure in the last eight one dayers, in succession, and no body is prepared to say it. His ordinary century, in which he out two times lbw(he should umpire Gauri of Pakistan for this), bereft of strokes he used to play four years back, was the only saving factor in his otheswise performance in the three Tests.
Saurav’s moderate scores of 39 and 40 had strokes which Sachin presently cannot play.
Injustice rules. Sachin and company—wait. Time will tell how conspiracy against Saurav will injure your cause. Mother Nature has justice, she will not allow you to bat freely with a leaden conscience.
