Cricket: Sourav Ganguly meets BCCI president Sharad Pawar.
Sourav Ganguly, the former Indian cricket captain met BCCI president Sharad Pawar on tuesday night at the latter’s residence.

Ganguly had earlier flown in to New Delhi as the Board President was willing to hear his case about being dropped from the national side for the third test at Ahmedabad even after he scored two patient and good knocks of 40 and 39 respectively in two innings in the second test between India and Srilanka at Delhi. His surprise removal from the test team had spurred protests all throughout India and attracted criticisms from many former cricketers.
Saurav Ganguly flew in from Kolkata and immediatly drove to Pawar’s residence at 9 pm and was closeted with the latter for more than a hour. And finally when Ganguly emerged from the meeting his body language was quite upbeat and he looked assured. Dada was smiling and chatted with the media personalities but however kept his mouth shut about his discussion with Pawar.
Though official versions about the discussions are that Sourav and Pawar discussed about the “future of Indian Cricket” speculations are ripe that they discussed about Ganguly’s cricketing future and his selection for the upcoming Pakistan tour and also about the the contract renewals of the Indian players.
