India now ranks 4th in the ICC Cricket ranking
India now ranks 4th in the ICC Cricket ranking behind Australia, South Africa and Pakistan. The recently concluded drawn up one-day series have enough reasons to put India into the 4 th place. Only teams in the top six till April 1, 2006 will automatically be eligible for the second stage of ICC championship trophy to be held in India in 2006.

But as India is the host nation, it automatically qualifies for the second stage. Tendulkar’s mixed batting form pulls him down from 9th position to 22nd. Two Indian batsmen is ahead of Sachin, Dravid is on 7 th and Sehwag moves up to 18th from 25th position. However it was Kallis’ consistence performance that made him a permanent member in the top ten. He is ninth.
Yuvraj Singh with his sparkling performance moved up the chain and rose to 25th from 29th. But it is two Indian bowlers who almost consolidate their position in the top ten. Harbhajan Singh is on 11 th and Irfan Pathan on 8th.
