Bollywood Queen Aishwarya Rai in her Pakistan visit
Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai plans to visit Pakistan in an ‘exchange polio ambassadors’ program with that country. It is interesting to note that the Indian films are not allowed on Pakistan soil due to a ban imposed by Pakistan Govt. The fact is that the popularity of Indian Hindi films among Pakistani views is beyond any doubt.
The situation is so severe in Pakistan that the cinema hall owners are finding it difficult to maintain the expenses of running a theatre, not to speak of making profit. So poor is the capacity utilization of the cinema hall due to lack of interest in public in going for the local movies in Pakistan that the cinema hall owners have approached Pakistan Govt with an appeal to lift the ban on Indian cinemas, so that the hall owners are not forced to shut down their hall and convert it to ware house or marriage function hall ! Unofficial sources indicate that the Indian cinema CD’s are very good smuggle “goods†.
India’s health minister Dr A Ramadoss and his Pakistani counterpart Mohammad Nasir Khan met in Geneva in June during the World Health Organization’s annual meet. This novel idea of exchanging country’s respective polio ambassadors took birth during that meeting and when Nasir Khan met India’s minister of state Panabaka Laxmi at the recent SAARC health ministers conference in Islamabad, they gave the plan the final shape. In one hand, Bollywood sitara Aishwarya Rai, who is India’s polio ambassador, will visit Islamabad in September to promote the next round of polio immunization campaign in the country, and, on the other hand, Pakistan will send their polio ambassador, pop star Jawad Ahmed, to Delhi on the same mission.
We all hope that these gestures by Bollywood celebrities will prompt the Pakistani government to reconsider their decision on screening Bollywood movies in Pakistan. Stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai are loved in Pakistan and this will help bridge the gap between the two nations.

everyone depends on Ash to raise any standards yet they still try to pull her down but they cant…because that woman is timeless and a goddess!!!!!! she is responsible for the movement of the indian cinema and culture in the west and now she will bring unity between these two nations!!!!! as far as i am concerned india should offically announce her as a Goddess and they should really worship her because she does sooo much for the nation!!!!!!! only the few hard headed ones fail to acknowledge that and praise her!!!!!!!! she deserves the best in everything!!!!! they only know how to use her name and likeness for sales and promotions but they should really appriciate her and cherish her forever!!!!!!!!!

Ash has got the quality of bringing in sympathy and love. The visit by this luminous girl will attract attention towards polio prevention. If adults are careless, the child suffers. To that extent Ash will give the message and her prescence will draw attetnion and her credibility makes all the difference.
