Applause for ‘Mangal Pandey-The Rising’ starring Amir Khan
Even before the Indian viewers could see the film ( schedule opening 12 Aug) , the biggest movie in the history of Bollywood, the Rising, Mangal Pandey, is chosen as the opening film at the 58th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, and with a Big Bang THE FILM is making big news. The screening of the film is attended by Rani Mukherjee, Ketan Mehta (director) and Bobby Bedi, along with the hero, Aamir Khan.
Amisha Patel plays the role of a widow of a soldier, during the British Raj, and as a part of her homework before shooting, gone through the book titled ‘White Mughal’ to familiarize herself with the living style of that period. Amisha is eagerly looking forward to the release of the film, says, “The book provided me with full knowledge of that time. Besides, Aamir Khan , the hero and Ketan Mehta , the director, also guided me in playing my character as well as I have been able to do.”
You will meet others in ‘The Rising” , stars like Rani Mukherjee as a prostitute and Hollywood actor Toby Stephens as a soldier. Can YOU WAIT ANYMORE ?
